Happy Easter!
This coming Tuesday, April 22, is Earth Day, the 44th Earth Day celebrated since its 1970 founding. U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson established Earth Day after witnessing firsthand the ravages of a tragic oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara, California.
This year’s Earth Day focuses on creating Green Cities, as more than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas. Check out this video…
And then watch this one…about the history of Earth Day!
To celebrate Earth Day, and to learn how to be better protectors of this planet we call home, I encourage you to watch these videos and to visit the Student’s Guide to Global Climate Change. On this site, created by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), you’ll find interactive challenges and games for the curious and invested planetary dwellers (you)!

(2) What ideas do you have for bettering our one and only world?
(3) List 2-3 things you can do to improve the small part of the globe that you call home?
